Restaurant „Nacional“ represents more than a catering establishment – it is a story of perseverance, love and a family tradition spanning over 50 years. His story begins in 1975, when Borivoje, a hardworking and dedicated man, dreamed of his own tavern. Two years later, together with his wife Ljubinka, he welcomed the first guests. Originally leased, the „Nacional“ tavern soon became a family business, into which Borivoje and Ljubinka invested all their strength and love.

Borivoje worked a double shift – during the day at the factory and at night in the tavern, while Ljubinka made the home-made dishes of this restaurant widely known with her culinary skills. Her pies, goulash and wedding cabbage have become an indispensable part of the offer. Their efforts were translated into the hospitality spirit that was passed down from generation to generation.

In 2000, the restaurant was taken over by their son Milan, giving it a new name – „Nacional 2000“, symbolizing the entry into a new era. He continues to improve and expand the restaurant – first by adding a hall for smaller celebrations, and then, in 2007, by expanding the facility with a large banquet hall and accompanying facilities, allowing the reception of up to 150 guests.

In 2014, Nacional got a new ballroom, and the last renovation, completed two years ago, brought an even more modern and spacious ambience, with a capacity of 200 seats and a spacious terrace, which is one of the recognizable symbols of the restaurant. A special place on the terrace is occupied by linden trees, planted the year the current owner, Milan, was born. They are witnesses of decades of socializing, celebrations and unforgettable moments, providing the shade and warmth of a real home to every guest who stops by.

Today, more than half a century after the original idea, the restaurant „Nacional 2000“ remains a place where tradition and modernity meet, with top service and an atmosphere that creates unforgettable memories.
